Description
Made from PLA, this 4″ bust of Annibale Carracci — based on the copy of an original by Paolo Naldini (Rome, 1614–1691) created to adorn Carlo Maratta’s monument celebrating Carracci’s achievements and first displayed at the Château de Meudon in 1722, now housed at The Louvre, Paris — captures the Italian Baroque master who, alongside his brother Agostino and cousin Ludovico in their Academy of the Desiderosi (later called the Incamminati), pioneered a shift from the Caravaggisti style toward a renewed Platonic ideal of beauty exemplified in his frescoes at the Palazzo Farnese. Its size makes it easy to display, and precision 3-D printing delivers crisp detailing and lasting quality.
