Description

Made from PLA, this bust of Annibale Carracci — the influential Italian Baroque painter — is based on a sculpture by Paolo Naldini (1614–1691), created to adorn a monument designed by Carlo Maratta in celebration of Carracci’s achievements. Before arriving at the Louvre Museum, the bust and its companion piece were displayed in 1722 at the Château de Meudon. A co-founder of the Incamminati studio, Carracci played a key role in shifting art away from rigid formalism, blending classical ideals with naturalism. His work, particularly the frescoes of Palazzo Farnese, left a lasting legacy on Western art. Its size makes it easy to display, and precision 3‑D printing delivers crisp detailing and lasting quality.
