Description
Made from PLA, this 6″ sculpture of the Goddess Taweret — based on a 3D scan of an original faience figure excavated from Thebes (tomb 34) dating to Egypt’s Late Period (c. 664 – 332 BC) and now held in the Harvard Museum of the Ancient Near East (acquired from M. Casira, Cairo, 1902.17.6) — faithfully captures the protective hippopotamus-headed deity revered for safeguarding mothers and children. A plane cut provides a flat base and upright orientation, preserving the iconographic details: the lotus-bedecked headpiece, pendulous belly, and crowned headdress. Its compact size makes it easy to display, and precision 3-D printing delivers crisp detailing and lasting quality.
